Though most of us Erudite’s know what the staring eye represents, i will exlain it to those who do not.

We (Erudite’s) are the eyes of the city, we see your every move. We watch this repugnant society from the disobedience of the outside world. You should thank us. 

We are the protecters, along with the help of the Dauntless.
